This is where we hang out. It's a 1952 contemporary with lots of glass. We bought it in 1990 from the woman who, with her late husband, had it built. It was designed by The Architects Collaborative, the Cambridge firm (now defunct) founded by Walter Gropius after he emigrated from Nazi Germany. Walter was the promulgator of the Bauhaus School of arts and architecture in the '30s and '40s, and there is a heavy Bauhaus influence in our house.
